The black diamond screens arent soo bad. Each new generation has gotten significantly better with the sparkles but the contrast ratio is pretty impressive. Blacks on that screen literally appear WITH content. Its really impressive but viewing angles can suffer a bit if you are off angle

Good Lord I'm late with this reply. It's the Performance Series line of SI. That sucks for the people who paid more for the Black Diamond screen.

HA. The sweet spot is always mine too. I have to push my friends off it sometimes. They dont get it why I make such a big deal :P Wait, do you have a black diamond or just a regualr SI screen? I think its only the black diamond screen that gets the sparkles because of its technology in it

I've never noticed sparkles. Huh? I'll check that tonight and let you know. As far as off-axis viewing?.... I always get the sweet spot. lol

They sound real nice, there's bass, but not a ton. They need a sub, but most towers I've owned needed one, and I've had A LOT of towers.

Hahaha yea that makes sense and if i had the higher end focals with the beryllium tweeters i wouldnt give them up quite soo quickly either! Maybe for some high end RBH full range towers though =P

Thanks for stopping by my page. My model Focal did not have the beryllium tweeter, just an inverted aluminum tweeter. The model I had were nice speakers, but very overpriced for what they were. These EMP Tek are easily as good, if not better than the Focal that I had, for 1/3 of the price. They have more drivers and look far sleeker, in my opinion. Now, if I had one of the higher model Focal with the beryllium tweeters, I would not have been giving those up so easy!
