It was "garbage" when I first found it, but my friend and I cleaned out all the battery corrosion and gave it a brand new battery holder from our spares. Works like a charm, save for the exposure meter.

Hope the footage rolls when I try it out (and I hope the film is at least decently exposed. I got 500T which is ideal for dusk/nighttime shooting and I plan to shoot it around sunset).

I fixed an old Super 8 camera and ordered some film stocks to shoot with.

    Am I JJ Abrams now!?

Yeah I read about the rewrites afterward and it makes sense. It's not catastrophic, but there's a definite drop-off.

Totally on board for Sheridan directing, that's a great idea.

Yeah I liked it overall but there was some stuff towards the end with Alejandro that I thought was kinda dumb (you probably know what I mean lol). But I didnít like the first one all that much, so I went into this with low expectations and almost immediately realized I was gonna like this better. Hope we get a third one, and maybe bring in a brand-new director to take a shot at it (a South American or Spanish director could be really interesting).

"In a comic, you know how you can tell who the arch-villain's going to be? He's the exact opposite of the hero, and most time's they're friends, like you and me. I should've known way back when. You know why, David? Because of the kids. They called me Mr. Glass."

I may not have liked Mandy as much, but hot damn it gave me memories of high school when I heard this play

Overlord looks like B-movie fun, and I also need to watch The Favourite. Got a lot of Barry Lyndon vibes from the clips I saw.

I couldn't care less for the ultraviolence in his stuff. I'm just not a fan of Von Trier's style in general. I feel like he's trying too hard for the most part to be artsy and the disturbing imagery comes across as more shock value than something genuinely resonating like in Hereditary.
