That's correct. The tweeter is actually a Vifa Ring Radiator, I forget the exact model. I didn't realize these are used on the Swans?

Hey prerich, great hearing from you and thanks for the kind rating and words on my gallery. I don't recall who is supporting the Rockets now. I remember receiving an email about it sometime back, but I can't seem to find it. I don't believe mine have Swan drivers (though that would be nice!). I had to replace the drivers in the Bigfoot shortly after it fell 5ft from a shelf (I was moving stuff around). This was within 6 months before AV123 tanked. AV123 handled the replacements, and I never thought to ask where they were sourced.

Good morning Rich, nice to see someone who knows early polk speakers!
Anyway, the SDA 1's were picked up Tuesday for $250, I'm doing the 2nd look at the SRS's on Sunday, they're in pretty rough shape but if all the drivers are working they could be a steal!

Originally these speakers had no crossover, only one capacitor to pass high frequencies to the tweeter and avoided the low frequencies to pass, as you can predict the sound was a mess.

Hi, I am grateful for your interest in my "work in progress" in my Home Theater, about your questions: what prompted me to make the DIY cables and put in a crossover in my speakers is the genuine pleasure of make improvements by myself in my HT, is a kind of "dare to do it and see how far you can go", apart from the fact that my speakers come from the cheaper line of consumer products from Sony (a HTiB) LOL so the improvement was a necessity and I chose make it this way rather than purchasing High Fidelity components although I can.
I did not do yet any internal bracing on my Sony speaker enclosures but you can bet I will.
