Hey man, thanks for the advice on the Criterion thread. Also I completely agree with your sig quote. A movie is something like Predator, a film is something like Raging Bull.

Haha, I'm just going to assume so to make me feel better. They redid some of it in the 90s when Pittsburgh Filmmakers bought it. The fact that I know this and I was born in the 90s...

Oh yes, that isn't a bad comparison actually! The ghosts of porn stars past still haunt that theater I'm sure. I'm just glad they replaced the ol', semen-crusted seats (damn, I hope!?).

Ahhh, you've done your research! Good, good. Yes, once you walk into that theater's screening room you will see just how dysfunctional the design is! The sound bounces off the complicated wall design with metallic clangs and hurts ones ears. The small second level balcony is even more bizarre too.

Ok, well, you will find out for yourself. Lol. I've seen dozens of films at that theater over the years. And trust me, I've been to far better theaters in other neighborhoods and cities. The sound is poor and the screen is sort of small too. It's a terrible theater overall. But I love the films they bring in, so its hard to avoid going to the Pgh Filmmakers theaters.

Thanks for letting me know. The Harris Theater has really poor sound quality though and I try to stay away from the particular theater. I might check it out there but no guarantees.
