I use a linksys wrt54g 802.11 b router. it runs my ps3 x-box notebook I never get lag online. Downloads are fast. It all depends on your service provider and your package. I have comcast's standard broadband package.
Edit: Oh yes I forgot my wife has a psp and a ds my kids have a wii they all work with the linksys router i have. So there you have it any and all devices that can run off of a router i have and they all work with ZERO compatability issue. And they are fast and downloads are fast. So you have your information only thing left for you to do is make a choice. Sony and micro$oft and nintendo as well will do NOTHING to help you connect with a router.
