A re-release of Halloween was mentioned in the same article that mentioned that Hellraiser was coming to Blu-Ray later this year. There's finally some news on the release. It sounds like it's going to be a rather packed set. The DVD release will take up 6 DVDs. So we're probably looking at atleast 3-4 for the Blu-Ray one if they keep the two versions of the movie on seperate discs. Hopefully we'll get the full specs in a few days.

Myers fans, make more room on your DVD shelf. Sources tell ShockTillYouDrop.com that an ad will appear this week in one of the video trade papers announcing a new six-disc (!) Halloween: 30th Anniversary box set. The latest presentation will include multiple presentations of John Carpenter's 1978 film - including a Blu-Ray edition and the rare extended edition. As an incentive, distributor Anchor Bay will package the set with a miniature Michael Myers mask. Look for full specs and artwork here on Shock soon!

EDIT: Note that the boxset is only a collection of previously released DVD's of Halloween, Halloween (Extended TV Cut), Halloween 4, Halloween 5, Halloween: 25 Years of Terror, and the previously released Blu-Ray of Halloween. There is nothing new in the set.
