Forgive me if I'm

but I'm not going to dig through this or any other Star Wars thread.
Before Star Wars was released on Blu-ray I acquired Star Wars Trilogy (The Original Unaltered Trilogy) which seems to be on par with VHS quality. Since I loathe the special editions and beyond, I've been okay with poor video and audio for my beloved original trilogy.
That was until recently while surfing Netflix I came across The People vs. George Lucas (2010). For anyone who hasn't seen this documentary, you can watch it free on IMDb
http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi1647880217 or YouTube.
A good portion of The People vs. George Lucas (IMO) isn't worth watching but overall I found it enjoyable and informative. It's because of this documentary I dug a little deeper and discovered what's commonly referred to as the despecialized editions. Here's a very short documentary on the first despecialized edition
.
While I still hold out hope for a proper home video release of these films, I'm very pleased with what I've recently found. I hope this helps fans of the original theatrical versions.
