I actually find certain parts of the prequel trilogy to be even more exciting than the originals, and no, I'm not some young punk kid, I'm 44 years old and grew up with the originals.
Admittedly, there are some glaring alterations to the OUT that bug me, such as the disappearing rocks, Obi Wan's Richard Simmons kick-in-the-nuts Krayt Dragon sound, and Vader's "No..., Nooooooo!" that I could've done without, but a few seconds of alterations in a 12 hour movie just doesn't bother me near as much as it has apparently bothered you.
If they release an unaltered version, you can be damned sure that I'll be first in line to buy it, but overall, I'm just not quite as bothered by the changes as you, and I do still love the prequels, all of them.
