The special effects, while not amazing, did look kind of cool, with the monster, and maybe some of the fighting.
Even bad movies in many people's eyes can still be entertaining, and sometimes that is what the movie set out to do.
In spoiler tags if needed, what would be some things they could do to improve the film aside from a larger budget, just to get a better sense of what may have gone wrong with the script, acting, ect?
Thanks Suntory.

I have not seen the trailer so maybe they looked less horrid their. But suffice to say, they are very sub par. Some of the animation was below ps2 levels for example and numerous creatures looked of similar quality to many ps3 games (without good art design though), albeit with far more particle effects.
What could they do it improve it story wise, well I really think you would have to scrap everything beyond maybe the concept and start over. It really is structurally a mess (a scene plays, then another scene players after trying to tell you why you should have cared what was happening in the scene before this scene, leaving you caring about neither). Dialogue was cringe worthy as well, story wise is made the Transformer films look like masterpieces. The action needed a severe overhaul as well. It probably would have been better had they not tried to be so epic and worked with the budget they had, instead of stretching it way to far.
It really is in that territory where I can see maybe some liking watching it for how bad it is, but it is a bit longer then most want for something like that. It actually reminded me quite a bit of the third mummy film, but without as much humor (as unfunny as it was).
