It could also be that he doesn't have all of them in hand yet? So that's why he's insisting people pay before he picks them up? Idk... this is one of those cases where a track record of positive feedback would be helpful.

Yeah that's what weirds me out a bit.
Like I started a selling account on Amazon, and within days sold my first thing (under-value) just so I could get a feedback score .. maybe it's just me but no feedback is just a red flag, especially if they've been selling for a month now. (but then I think, if it was scamming going on, he'd surely have negative feedback?! maybe the people are just lazy and not leaving any for positive transactions?
