I'm actually quite distracted by it. It's the tell-tale rotational wobble of an unstable anamorphic element, and it's extremely noticeable throughout the flick. Can't believe they wouldn't have fixed this. Anyone else seeing it? I did a Google search and came up with nothing; no one on the internet machine seems to be talking about this weird anamorphic instability. All you gotta do is call up ANY wide shot in the movie (preferably with strong vertical lines, like the Emperor's throne room) and you'll see it. But on the other hand, you might not want to, 'cuz you can never un-see it.

Unstable would be one word for it I guess, but I remember a few really soft flat looking scenes in ROTJ that were very inconsistent with the rest of the film. It was borderline VHS level at times which I'm assuming had something to do with the film elements.
