It's actually true. You're Sat Radio radio is calibrated (by you) to send it's signal to an FM frequency. You';ll notice when you use the FM feed in the car, you'll occasionally get static as you drive past some people. These are folks who are tuned to a frequency close to what your Sat Radio is sending to.

I had my XM put into an input on the back of the radio, so I didn't need to use the FM feature.

Then, I canceled.
