A similar thing happend to me with Overstock.com. I ordered two copies of a movie on the same order, one for myself and one for a gift. My order said it had shipped. I got my order, but there was only one copy. I filed a complaint and was told I had to wait at least another week to see if the package showed up. I told them that only one package was sent as there was only one tracking number. Then a strange thing happend, a couple days latter, I was checking my order online and it had gone from both items shipped to only one shipped, but the second one still hadn't shipped. Finally, after about a month of complaining and explaining, the finally refunded the price of the second movie. Then, I had to place an order again to get the second copy. I don't know why they just couldn't have shipped the second one rather than have to go to the trouble of refunding.
A second time, I had a package not show up and I tracked it with UPS and it showed on their website it had been damaged. They took care of that problem quickly, but the same situation happened, they refunded my money and I had to re order the items.
