I remember seeing the 90s Imax film Everest, and finding that a grueling experience (although well made). The whole mindset of subjecting yourself to a potentially suicidal ordeal like that just to prove something never made a whole lot of sense to me, but I suppose it's their choice.
So this was not exactly on my radar, but it seems to be getting very good press.

that's pretty much exactly what you'd hope for a film like this. If it gets more write-ups like this, I might check it out.
