Just when you think Lionsgate is completely out of the catalog game, they come completely out of left field with a release like this. There are no new Halloween films coming out, yet here they are, bothering with a release that no one really wants for no particular reason. Mediocre horror sells like hot cakes on Blu-ray. You only have to look at the boutique labels to see that. Back in the day, most of those horror films were considered junk. I don't think that about all of them but that was the popular opinion. Now it's like gold to a lot of collectors. With this being a film spawned from a name franchise, I'd predict it will sell rather well, especially since a lot of people still haven't seen this cut.
