I'm now the proud owner of one of these puppys, and it has done very well in the first week. I am by no means knowledgeable enough about this subject to write one of these "mini reviews" that i see some people post on here, so sorry if thats what you thought this thread was guys
I'M looking for just that though! I'd like to see other peoples opinions on what they think, settings, performance, etc.
Quick question about the PS3 and Lossless audio though. Before this receiver i had never heard lossless, so i am unfamiliar with it, and because the PS3 will not bitstream it I am unsure of if i am actually hearing it or not. (Don't run me off the board or anything for this) I think i have the settings correctly set up, and what i'm hearing really doesn't sound like that large of a difference
I was anticipating a bigger discrepancy. So little, that I am unsure if it either A. actually exists; or B. Placebo effect, i "think" its lossless so my mind says "oh thats better!" Because in all honesty, i'm not sure if my PS3 settings are right.
Audio Output Settings: HDMI Automatic (Everything Checked)
BD/DVD Audio Output Format (HDMI): Linear PCM
