The DVD is rough, no doubt, but there is nothing wrong with the current BD release.

If the upcoming release betters it, then so be it. but it isn't a title that I would consider needing a remaster.
What is going to be interesting, is how it is going to look in terms of grading. We all know Mann loves to tinker with his films on home media.
