In addition to the region issue, another point you might need to check out is whether the BD includes any extras in standard definition and, if so, whether they are in NTSC or PAL. Your US BD player would probably not be able to play PAL material.

As it's a major Hollywood studio (Paramount) that is releasing Zulu on BD in the UK, the likelihood is that any SD extras would be in NTSC, since all European BD players and TVs support NTSC as well as PAL so there would be no reason to pay for NTSC-PAL conversion for existing NTSC items. For example, on Warner BDs released in Europe, SD extras are in NTSC (the packaging lists the SD video format as 480i/p).

However, this point would be more of an issue for a BD released in the UK (or elsewhere in Europe) by a smaller independent releasing company, especially if the film concerned was not produced by one of the major Hollywood studios.
