I've often found 1-2 titles to pick up during my (usually) once a month visits. I'm disappointed to lose that, especially as it was a bit of a treat not knowing what sort of more obscure release I might find.

That's a great point, and one that I don't think gets mentioned enough here. I've seen so many tv shows especially, where I wanted to buy the BD or DVD and instead they only were released as dvd-r's or not at all, that for the last year or so I've upped my purchasing. Some more 1st week buys for me, or buying when the release gets a decent discount but not as great as I would have waited for in years past. Especially those shows that are in some danger of cancellation, or I think maybe their physical releases are.
