Felt somewhat rushed to fit everything in vs. the flow I usually enjoy in his movies. I've come to expect epic samurai films and this falls just below some of the others. 8/10

Last night I finished up Polanski's Macbeth. Although it felt more like I was reading the actual story than watching a movie due to the dialog, the 140 minutes passed quickly. You could sense how Sharon Tate's murder affected Polanski throughout. Very moody and dark version. 8/10 (technically more like 8.25/10 to edge TOB)
I happened to catch the 2015 Macbeth this weekend. Having seen the two that you mentioned, it didn't stack up. Both versions are tremendous in their own way.
