the Epson 7500UB (euro tw5000)also has a native contrast ratio of 6000:1. the panasonic only has 3300:1 native so there not the same spec.

there is quite a bit of difference with these 3 models, so dont think they are same across the pack.

the Epson will most likly be the best of the bunch and will be alot sharper than the panasonic which has quite a soft image (though film like).
the panasonic has a great price and some good features.
I know that. But even so. Who's using VIVID mode on a Projector anyway? Most of the time Vivid give you most lumens. I have a Z2000 and i never use that because that setting burn my face with light. So have even more would only be usefull with light are on (some) or if you have a 107' + screen.

They all use the same basic 3LCD panel. But each model does tweak with them by using filters, different lamp, different lamp path, optics etc. Panasonic use Smoothscreen, that's why it look a little bit softer than the other.

In all, if all on those model are in the same price range, you'll get about the same performance. If the UB is priced higher then it would be better spec wise. They're no magic in electronics.

Anyway i don't know if you see what i'am saying here. I not's a brand fanatics. I Owned projectors from Panasonic, BenQ and Sanyo. I almost bought a 1080UB but they where so many problems with Panel alignement (in the beggining) that i choosed the Sanyo..
