Following animation studios all over the world, I truely believe the fast growing
nWave is one to watch. I know lots of people look down on it, because of
'Sammy's Adventures' and
'Fly Me to the Moon', but every studio has to start somewhere. Not being supported by a major movie company, it's much harder than the big guys who have much bigger budgets and the best of the best when it comes to the technology to make this stuff. What amazed me, is the jump they made with
'Thunder and the House of Magic' and above all
'Robinson Crusoe' (aka 'The Wild Life'), animation-wise. Compared with the first feature in 2010 (and many other small studios), those are big-leg-steps. It's only a matter of time before nWave is among of the biggest European animation studios, attracting better writers, directors and talents of all kind. Already sold to 50 countries in Cannes, 'The Son of Bigfoot' will be released next summer.
