Generally I will judge on how much I like the movie and the transfer. If I want to own it but don't really love it, I will likely stick with The blu-ray unless a good deal comes along on the UHD. If I like the movie a lot, and it's a new release I will get the UHD. Right now I am just futureproofing. Most of my purchases now come by way of sales. Most of fox's titles can be had with the 30% coupon on fox connect for the price as the regular blu-ray, so why not. I am more hesitant on ones where I already own the blu-ray version. Some drop special features and alternate cuts. Like the Watchmen release only having the ultimate cut in 4K. But if the transfer is a big upgrade and the opportunity is there to get it for relatively cheap, I will probably pick em up. That said, I do have a huge blu-ray collection, and I will be much more selective with my purchases unless prices go way down.
