I can't believe there isn't a more relevant thread. The thread I found hadn't had any replies since 2011. Ok so not sure what makes me think this will get anymore attention
Two of my faves aren't from movies so it's not easy to find them to make sure I got them verbatim. Both shows were documentaries on The History Channel several years ago. I believe the first one was something about a history of the KKK.
This guy is telling a story about three defendants on trial for the murder of an African American man. Goes something like this:
"So one of the defendants looks at the man's mother and says I'm so sorry for what I did to your son, please forgive me. And she looks at him and says son, I already have. And I tell you there wasn't a dry eye in that courtroom. Even that ol' Mississippi judge had to hold a few back."
The other is about 9/11 and this guy is talking about the brave firefighters going in to save people.
"And here I am stumbling down the stairs and I pass this firefighter in the stairwell and I look him in the eyes, and I tell you he didn't miss a God damn step"
