Well I can't speak for the OP, but I've barely broken in my Xb1 and heard similar stories that give me pause too. So no need to upgrade there for the moment
I'm kind of hoping my wife picks up the Samsung K8500 for Christmas for me, but I think I've sent her mixed signals on that one. BTW, are you the same ray that is over in the KS8000 owners thread in AVS forum?
