It has nothing to do with that. Paramount simply don't release catalogue titles on blu-ray anymore, and they pretty much don't licence to indy labels either (Kino's agreement precludes them from releasing anything that Paramount put out on DVD themselves, so that rules out anything good). They have so many great films languishing in limbo.
