Pacific Rim does run a bit 'hot' in UHD, yeah, the highlights in particular. It still looks AMAZING but just pop in the BD and compare a few scenes with the UHD (with contrast back on 0 ), you may find that the BD actually has more highlight detail in some scenes. The higher-end Sony 4k TVs like your own (nice bit of kit there!) tend to tone map out to 1000 nits and then clip the rest, from what I've heard, and with Warners discs being encoded at up to 4000 nits then it might be worth experimenting just to see what happens. BUT push the player adjustments too far and it can cause some banding, so it's a bit trial and error when it comes to certain discs.
