Well, now I'm really going to be in trouble with the wife.
- I've got a BDP-S1 and now a 60gb PS3, I couldn't help myself, it was such a great deal from Circuit City at $499 with 5 BD's plus an additional cordless game control (49.00 value). I have it stashed away and it's not even unpacked so I can explain later that it's for my Birthday or some other lame excuse....and you won't believe this, this is my first gaming console ever and I'm 47 years old (lol)...Blu-ray is definately my motiviation. On a different note; I thought it was an odd comment that the sales manager said today, he told me that these baby's only really started selling after the price drop. It was my impression this thing was in demand before the price drop.
I've read a few threads regarding freeze ups, however, I don't have any problems with the S1 so I hope I don't run into any issues with the PS3 after upgrading the firmware. Also, is anyone having over heating issues or is it only with the 360 or just a bad rumor, always good to know? Any tips on the quirks on this unit are appreciated I still have time to return it
