Most of her performances are OSCAR bait and she takes everything far too seriously. She is extremely pretentous as a person. Her uppity speeches are so cringeworthy that even Bill Burr mocks her fairly often. Aside from that, I just don't find her or most of her movies to be interesting. I've taken a lot of heat for that over the years and so I know that I'm in the minority.
I do admit that I haven't seen this fim. It has a great cast and the plot and everything seems good, but I just don't know if I want any Streep movies outside of The Deer Hunter and Kramer vs. Kramer.
