I watched
Fish Tank for the first time recently and agree with you about Fassbender. For what it's worth, I did like the movie a fair amount, and Fassbender is easily the most memorable part of it. Reprehensible in the end, sure, but he was a charismatic villain. The girl was fine, and I felt for her, but sometimes a really gross character can kinda dominate a movie. I don't think it's a stretch to say
Fish Tank is an example of this.
