I would presume that the volume would be based upon the broadcast or recording, the system calibration, room size, and the efficiency of your speakers. I have an upgraded Onkyo PR-SC885. I use it with my upgraded Aragon Palladium 1K monoblock amps (125 watts class A or 400 watts AB at 8 ohms). These are used to drive my upgraded and rebuilt Dahlquist DQ10 speakers. These speakers are not nearly as efficient as many of the Polks or Klipsch speakers used by many here at Blu-ray.com. But, I believe that I watch TV usually at between 45-55. I watch Blu-ray movies at around 48-55 usually and CDs between about 50-60.
