I'd rather have older classics on Blu-ray than none at all. The fact that it is "full screen" is because they didn't have widescreen back then. I think more people would be mad if it wasn't in it's original 1.33:1 ratio. I sure wouldn't want to have it cropped or stretched and distorted just for the sake of filling up the whole screen.

Every Blu-ray release will have an improvement over the DVD, even if it's a minimal improvement.
