Umm, no.
Plasmas, like LCDs, are designed by the manufacturers to be wall-mounted as an option.
With the mounting solution I'm using, there is a 2" clearance between the back of the set and the wall. No ventilation grills are blocked.
Besides, this set runs fairly cool. I've had it on for 12 continuous hours during my break-in period and it was still cool to the touch.
I don't know where the myth about plasmas running hot came from, but that is certainly not true about these new Panasonics. They
