I've spent several years with all "home theater" viewing on plasma display followed by front projection. No way I'd every go back to any display with back-lighting. Of course, I don't ever plan to move away from front projection. My 60" VT60 is relegated to casual cable (news, sports) in my den.
Frankly though, if reference 4K LCD and OLED each have valid positives and are close in overall image quality, then at 65" (or even 85") it will fail to measure up against the size of reference quality front projection. There's simply no way around this inconvenient fact. Ever better OLED image (or LCD) at quite a price can't deliver a true theater at home experience.
