By the by, don;t let my slightly negative tone fool you. I loved this to deat and I am really hoping there are some other classic anime titles in the pipe for a US release. I'm thinking the first Vampire Hunter D, maybe the original AD Police Files and, as a personal favorite, A Wind Called Amnesia.

I picked up the Japanese Blu-ray releases of Bubblegum Crisis and Riding Bean, and those look superb. The Japanese BDs don't have subtitles, but the difference in quality between the DVDs and the BDs is so huge that it'd be hard to watch the DVDs again. It'd be great if AnimEigo could release these on Blu-ray; all they'd have to do is use the encodes from Japan and add their subtitles (which is what they did with their remastered Oh My Goddess!). I don't know how expensive it would be to license the new transfers, though (and get the BD rights).
