Please tell me that you have been at least getting lossless since you've had both.
You have everything selected in the HDMI audio menu on your PS3, are in some sort of normal or THX mode, have HDMI Monitor out on, are selecting the lossless track on your BD's, and have your PS3 set to Linear PCM? If not...
