Blu-ray Forum - View Single Post - Does the PS3 upscale regular dvds over component video?

I have a friend who is looking to get a blu ray player, and I want to suggest the PS3, but was wondering if it will upscale dvd's over component since they don't have HDMI. Also, the PS3 will output blu ray in 720p over component as well right?
