Lucasfilm confirms Clone Wars Season One coming to Blu-Ray
In March the first 4 episodes of the new series Star Wars The Clone Wars will come out exclusively on on a barebones DVD only. For those who would look at this announcement as nothing but a greedy obvious attempt to double dip should read the fine print Lucasfilm is thankfully not bullshiting us for once. Lucasfilm has confimed that probably in time for the premire of Season Two the complete first season will come to a multi-disc feature packed Blu-Ray
"Meanwhile, for fans eager to own the entire first season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Lucasfilm is in the midst of producing a multi-disc boxed set that is expected to debut later in 2009. Full details of the first-season DVD boxed set, which is also planned to mark the first Blu-Ray appearance of the series, will be announced later this year. The collection will include substantial bonus material that is currently in production at Lucasfilm, including explorations of the behind-the-scenes creation of the hit series."
These single disc DVD releases are entirely skippable for anyone with sense but cheers to Lucasfilm for letting us know in advance a proper set is on its way.
