I was pretty much broke after I bought it so I just rented Wall-E (never seen it before and thought it would be cool in blu-ray) and also Uncharted: Drake's Fortune game. I already had the optical and hdmi cords from monoprice and everything worked out pretty well. I haven't downloaded any of the firmware upgrades yet so hopefully it will get even better. One thing that drove me crazy was that I couldn't get Wall-E in DTS or even DD, only Pro Logic Movie... When I would put in the game it would automatically switch to DTS and Wall-E is DTS but I just couldn't get my receiver to correspond with it... I am hoping this is maybe a firmware upgrade? I still don't quite understand the audio terminology. Can someone tell me what bitstreaming PCM and the other option is (forgot) and the difference between the two? I don't have an HDMI capable receiver so I am running optical out to the receiver and hdmi directly to the tv. I was hoping I could get DTS or atleast DD on the DTS-HD blu-ray movies... any suggestions??
BTW: Wall-E looked amazing in 1080P!! I dunno what it looks like in SD but it was sure fun to look at just because of the vibrant colors and animation.

Since you are using an optical connection, make sure that your PS3 is set to bitstream. Optical cable can't handle more than stereo PCM signal. So, if you bitstream the audio, the receiver will be able to use the core element of the DTS track on the Blu-ray.
