Even if Pioneer Electronics is now owned by Onkyo, they still seem to be afforded to act as a fairly independent subsidiary of them.
They are still orientated to making a range of products from modest priced to premium components.
The earlier
BDP-85FD and
BDP-88FD were $1000, $2000. That was back in 2014. Its was the Oppo-103 that sold for $499, Oppo-105 that sold for $1199 that were both more feature laden, equivalent build qualify, CI features, that caused major grief for Pioneer sales I would imagine.
So here we are 4 years later it will be interesting to see what price points are selected at CEDIA as Robert has now changed the OP of this thread to state that Pioneer requested
advanced details on Value Electronics to be removed.
