we used to have wallpaper in a couple rooms. and when we wanted to change and take it down, we used one of those and wallpaper glue solvent in a spray bottle. you run the tool over an area, then spray it with the solvent and let it sit for a bit. run the tool over another, spray, let it sit. after a while, the solvent helps the glue release and the paper comes down really easy. might be a bit of sanding, but nothing too bad.
