so you're saying that without HDMI there's no way im going to get Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD? if this is the case then i might as well get a different reciever. there's no way that I can get the PS3 to decode the sound and send it already decoded to the reciever? the reciever has a straight setting where it puts out whatever is put into it. I was wondering if I could get the PS3 to do the decoding and run it straight into the reciever.
