Decided that I'll save the bigger name films and classics for October and focus on films I haven't seen or haven't seen in a long time for September. I'm going to have more of a unified theme for the four weeks in October, whereas this month I'm being a little scatter-brained about which ones I watch. The asterisk will indicate films I have not seen before. I'll be adding my thoughts about each movie intermittently.

September 7th:
Angst This movie has always unsettled me and I think it's one of the better portrayals of a serial killer put to film. Some of the camera work though is jarring and some scenes are little too drawn out, but overall, the movie does a great job of portraying the mindset of a serial killer.

September 8th:
Tenebrae

September 9th:
*The Beyond My first exposure to Lucio Fulci and I just could not really get into this film. Great gore scenes, but the movie just seemed to drag on so much and with no real plot, I ended up getting bored.

September 14th:
*Mandy

September 15th:
*Southbound 1/2 - This movie started off well and had an interesting concept, but it started lose me towards the middle once they started showing the monsters more or whatever they were supposed to be.

Heathers

September 21st:
The Predator (1987) 1/2 - Got the 4K for this and it looked spectacular. Not much to really say about it. It's a classic and has held up well.

September 22nd:
Black Swan

September 23rd:
*Green Room 1/2 - I've been wanting to see this movie for awhile now and it certainly did not disappoint. Probably one of the more suspenseful and bleak movies I've seen in some time. The acting is all around great and it's shot incredibly well, especially some of the more brutal scenes. Definitely would recommend if you're in the right mood.
