I believe, Blu-ray does not use the Pal and NTSC system. It uses the HD system 480P 720P 1080i 1080p. All depending on the disc, of what capablity it can show. So it will choose one of the above. Being yout TV is not HD, it would choose the 480p, I do think this is correct.
