I try to watch all the movies that I've rated twice. Once I'll just sit and watch the movie straight through to get a general subjective feel for the film. On the second go through I pick a handful of scenes were I look specifically for any noticeable artifacls or enhancements that are not inherent to the film. Once I've finished the second run through I then form an opinion on the piece as a whole with those sections as evidence for what I initially observed. If when I go to the second viewing I get a different feel from the first time I go back and watch the movie again to see why it was that I either didn't see something or thought I saw something.

As a side note, I try to take the nature of the film into account when subjectively viewing pq. I know there are things that I don't find visually appealing that the director may have intended for the look of the film, I try not to have that opinion affect what I think of the quality of the transfer, but you can only allow so much leeway. For Instance, Transformers is an excellent transfer, however, the boosted contrast and orange skin tones threw me off so much that I could not ignore it and only would rate it 4.5/5.
