You can leave it on for 24 hours straight. It's hard to think to leave your TV on while you're gone.. Crackinheadz suggested the obvious: fire probability.. but that goes for anything you leave on while you're not home.

Your TV will be able to run 24 hrs straight no problem. 48? I think that MAY be pushing it... Just be careful what you leave on. No static images/black bars.
