I had the 820 on the top shelf and the hot as **** denon avr was on the bottom shelf on a 2 shelf tv cabin (dont know if I use the right words but I hope you get the picture). I think what I witnessed was due to overheating the player. I switched the 820 to bottom and avr to top shelf and now everything works like a charm. The avr also now has more room to breath so in the long run this was a must thing to do. I just hope I didn't do any long term damage to my unit. Atleast it's now working faster than ever.
