I'd like to offer some feedback on this feature.
I don't really see any advantage to the ignore feature as it functions currently. When I add someone to my ignore list, I can still see that they made a post. Only the content of the post is hidden. And all I have to do is click the View Post button to see it. Furthermore, if someone quotes the post of the ignored member later on in the thread, I can see it.
My suggestions:
1. If somone is on your ignore list, have their posts be completely removed from your view. So if they are poster #6 in the thread, you would see post #5 and then post #7 directly after that. You should see no evidence of anything from post #6.
2. If someone quotes from post #6 later on in the thread, that quote should not appear in your view. You should see everything in that person's post except the quote from the ignored member.
3. If the ignored member starts a thread, the thread should not be visible until someone not on your ignored list makes a post in that thread.
4. The ignored member should not appear in your view of the "Currently Active Users" list at the bottom of the forum.
5. You should get an error message if trying to view the Profile, Gallery, Collection, etc. of someone on your ignore list.
6. You should not be allowed to send or recieve Private Messages from people on your ignore list.
Thank you for listening.
