This film was god awful. Watch the trailers and you can figure out exactly where this film is going. It’s billed as an anti-romcom but it falls into the exact same cliches it’s pushing against and mocking. The script is a mess, the editing is atrocious and the story overall is just plain stupid. The idea was really wasted on the film. In more capable hands, this could have been something.
The cast is fine. Rebel Wilson is charismatic, Devine and Hemsworth are fine. Priyanka Chopra continues to prove she truly cannot act. Everyone else is forgettable beyond belief.
I checked my watch 11 times during the 84 minute duration. I almost walked out at one point but didn’t want to be mad at myself for wasting an A-List spot.
