Yeah I avoided HFR for the first two Hobbits because I'd read such awful things, but for Battle I figured there may not be another opportunity to check it out for a while, so I might as well. Ended up enjoying it quite a bit. There's definitely an adjustment period initially, but by the time Smaug croaked, I'd bought in. I'm not saying I want this to become the new standard for filmmaking, but for certain movies (and especially for 3D), it certainly has its merits IMHO.
